WELL done to the Scottish Government for settling the junior doctors pay dispute. It just shows what can be done when there’s no macho Conservative Westminster involvement and the grown-ups stay in the room.

No wonder Steve Barclay wants devolved nations to share patients with England. This is more to do with reducing England’s waiting lists than vice versa.

The unintended consequence of Barclay’s party’s intransigence is that it could mean a mass exodus of staff from NHS England to NHS Scotland for better pay and conditions.
