BORIS Johnson is now facing the perfect storm. He has had a near unprecedented and calamitous two weeks as chaos descends on No 10.

Now the Brexit minister Lord Frost, ironically ennobled by Johnson, has resigned.

In his letter of resignation, Frost cited the latest Covid curbs as partly the reason for his stepping down. However, the timing of his letter of resignation, believed to have been sent to Johnson a week ago, is also a tacit criticism of the blond buffoon’s rapidly unravelling lack of authority and leadership.

Just watch those letters of no confidence in the increasingly embattled PM being sent to Sir Graham Brady, chairman of the influential 1922 Committee, as Conservative MPs become more and more nervous about their electoral fortunes. Letters have already been sent, and now with the resignation of Lord Frost it’s highly likely that more letters will be sent by disgruntled and nervous Conservative MPs.

The compelling question is, how much longer can Johnson survive?
