DOUGLAS Ross’s last opportunist gamble – physically clearing a path for Boris Johnson through the Tory party conference scrum – worked. He has now gambled that resigning his junior Scottish Office ministry will win him enough votes – for “integrity” – to hang on to his Moray seat at the next General Election.

This is most unlikely to work. The Cumming scandal has only made “Bojo the Priapic Clown” look weaker and more unsuitable to be Prime Minister. Let the English have him; we have nobler and more exciting options.

Pity he didn’t resign before voting against food safety standards. What sort of human being (especially one with young children) would do a thing like that?

Credit where it is due. Well done Douglas Ross for showing some REAL integrity and a bit of backbone. Jackson Carlaw could learn a thing or two here.
