INTERESTING stuff In the Sunday National about the actual overall benefit of the new BBC Scotland channel (BBC Scotland: The Verdict, Scottish Life, May 26).

Well, first of all, if they want to promote world news relevant to Scotland, it should be on at 6pm when most people watch the news, not 9pm when we’re all watching Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Icing on the cake of what a totally useless and boring channel this is was the showing of the week’s “proceedings” of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. I found it when channel-hopping and could not believe it!!! Is this the best they can do (or was it cheap television)?

Most of the population of Scotland are, in my opinion, agnostic or atheist. Let me be clear, I have absolutely no problem with people who believe in any afterlife or religion but FFS bring back the Rev I M Jolly and Father Ted, that’s entertainment!! To show this stuff at 8pm on a Sunday night is absolutely ridiculous and shows the lack of understanding of the BBC!
