Sam Dalby was delighted to make his chance count after scoring the goal that earned Dundee United a credible draw against Rangers on Saturday.
That first half strike at Ibrox continued an impressive goalscoring run, with the 24-year-old forward getting his name on the scoresheet in five of his last six Scottish Premiership outings.
Dundee United's preparations were far from ideal going into the fixture. Their journey to Glasgow was severely affected by Storm Bert which resulted in the match kicking off 55 minutes later than scheduled.
But the Tannadice side didn't let their travel woes hamper their on-field performance as Dalby put them into a valuable half-time lead before Vaclav Cerny earned Rangers a share of the points on 66 minutes.
The result leaves Dundee United, who are now three games unbeaten, fourth in the league table.

"It's always nice to get a goal, but for us the most important thing is obviously to get a point, especially away from home, and just to carry on our good starts of the season," he said.
"I think the gaffer said after the game that we're the first team for them to drop points at home this season, and lead, so obviously to come here and get a point is a bonus, and it just sort of carries on our momentum that we've gained from the start of the season.
"They're still great players, great team, and they're going to beat a lot of sides this season, so to get a point away from home is obviously always good.
"We always talk about putting balls in the box and stuff, and playing when we can. It's not always the case.
"You're going away to somewhere like Rangers, and you know you're not going to have a lot of the ball, so when you do have the ball, you've got to make it count."
On his recent prolific exploits, the Dundee United talisman said: "It's always nice to get on the score sheet and stuff but it's all about helping the team out, the other work up front, trying to stop them from playing as well.
"You've got to stop them from playing as much as you can, so today we did that."
Dalby is currently on a season-long loan from English League One side Wrexham.
His Wrexham teammate, Steven Fletcher, spent the 2022/23 season in the City of Discovery where he scored 10 times from 39 appearances.
He also only netted once from 17 showings against Rangers throughout his professional career - something that Dalby has already achieved.
He is on track to beat the former Scotland internationalist's goal return at Dundee United and revealed they've been in regular contact during his loan spell so far.

"I'm sure he'll probably end up texting me to be honest," he admitted.
"He's obviously a great player, he's scored lots of goals against other opposition, but yeah, he's a great player, and a great guy as well, so he's been helping me out.
"He's texted me quite a lot, especially after I've scored and stuff and it's kind of just sort of helped me out, especially sort of getting to know the area and stuff.
"Obviously he's been there, so yeah, he's been a massive help."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
