EURO 2024 is set to kick off with a bang this evening as Scotland take on the tournament’s host in the opening match.

Germany is hosting its first major tournament since 2006 and will begin proceedings by facing off against Steve Clarke's Scotland.

The winner will give themselves a fantastic chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages, so the pressure is on for both teams.

The match will kick off at 8pm tonight, Friday, June 14, as thousands of fans from the Tartan Army have made the trip to back the squad.

Scotland had a phenomenal qualifying campaign for the tournament and fans will hope the momentum will continue.

Lesley Riddoch is the envy of the charity sweepstakes as she was randomly assigned to Scotland.

Her chosen charity is the Front Lounge Dundee, a social empowerment organisation that runs ongoing community projects for young people, young parents and those with mental health challenges.

Facing off against Riddoch is Mark Nelson who drew the hosts Germany.

He has chosen Marie Curie Cancer as his charity of choice.

Marie Curie Cancer provides hospice care and support for anyone with an illness they’re unlikely to recover from and offers support for those close to them.
