KEMAR ROOFE was perhaps a little fortunate to escape a red card at Ibrox this evening.

The Englishman lunged into a first-half tackle on Murray Davidson and appeared to catch the St Johnstone midfielder badly.

St Johnstone fans were furious that David Munro deemed the tackle only necessary of a yellow card.

One wrote: “That is one seriously horrific tackle.”

Another commented: “Ref bottled it can’t even use fans as an excuse.”

Another fumed: “Ball wasn't even there he deliberately went for the player and you can't say over the ball as ball wasn't there ... That was horrendous.”
