THE SNP conference is nearing, and that means The National's pre-conference event makes its return to Aberdeen.
Following the success of last year's collaboration with the Aberdeen Independence Movement, we can be sure this year's event is set to be one not to miss.
As well as our panel, interviews, and speeches, the evening before the main event begins will present a chance for members to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for Scotland's future ahead of the hustle and bustle of conference.

The pre-conference events will take place on Saturday, October 14 at the Park Inn by Radisson in Aberdeen
Confirmed to participate in an exchange of ideas are Minister for Independence Jamie Hepburn MSP, Karen Adam MSP, and the SNP policy development convenor Toni Giugliano.
Together, they will share their insights and perspectives, shedding light on their preferred path towards a brighter future for Scotland, and reflecting on the summer of independence.
The crowd will also have the chance to particpate and grill the panel on specifics of anything and everything independence related.
The National's managing editor Stewart Ward said: "The National is Scotland's pro-independence newspaper – and as well as bringing you all the latest, we want to help spark debate on topics we know the Yes movement is passionate about.
"We'll be using this pre-conference event alongside the Aberdeen Independence Movement to set the stage for what's to come with speakers addressing fresh but crucially important topics.
"We also want to give attendees a little peak behind the media curtain – as the cameras and notebooks come to town.
"Stay tuned for more."
Additional keynote speakers will be revealed soon but attendees can expect nothing short of unique perspectives rallying the crowd and providing a sense of unity to everyone in attendance.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
