After the news of Oasis reuniting and coming back together as a band, fans have been excited about the tour but with all the excitement often comes speculation.
This tour announcement from Noel and Liam Gallagher was no different and it’s forced the pair to release a statement.
Today (August 28), the official Oasis account on X, formerly Twitter, revealed that the band would not be performing at the iconic Glastonbury Festival in 2025.
It was also made clear that despite the “media speculation”, the band would not be seen at any other UK festivals next year.

With the tour news already being talked about everywhere, fans will likely want to get tickets even more now as the band says the tour will be “the only way” to see them perform.
The statement said: “Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year.
“The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.”
This news comes as fans have eagerly awaited confirmation emails for the ticket ballot.
Oasis say they have received “an unprecedented volume” of entries to a ballot for tickets to their reunion tour.
On Tuesday, August 27, they announced their first run of gigs in more than a decade since they broke up backstage at French music festival Rock en Seine in 2009.
The band have told fans they will receive a confirmation email if they entered the ballot, which launched on Tuesday night.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
