Britain's Got Talent returned to our screens once again this weekend for its 17th series, and one act saw plenty of viewers express disdain at a unique tactic they employed.
The opening act of tonight's auditions episode (Saturday, May 4) was content creator Danny Platinum, 29, from Yorkshire.
He did some freestyle rap and switched up the usual approach to auditions by going outside and interacting with the crowd there to the surprise of those inside the theatre.
His performance was then shown on a screen inside the theatre so that the judges could take it in.

The act impressed the judges which sent Danny Platinum through but some found the tactic to go outside and little staged.
One person took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote: "Ok this rapper from Huddersfield seems to be good but the going outside to perform is a little cheesy and obviously preplanned."
Another shared: "First act of the night and not the first or last set up act of this show. Britain has no talent would be a better title".
Meanwhile, another wrote: "OK but why did he have to go outside? Wouldn't surprise me if he recorded this earlier and they just played his music video."
Britain's Got Talent 2024 Golden Buzzer acts
A few acts have had the Golden Buzzer pushed for them in this series, which grants them automatic passage to the semi-final stage.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, plus hosts Ant & Dec all have the opportunity to send acts through straight away.
Alesha Dixon pressed the Golden Buzzer for Ravi's Dream Team choir, Ssaulabi Taekwondo Troupe won the favour of Ant & Dec, and singer Sydnie Christmas was sent through by Amanda Holden.

Alongside that, Simon Cowell was impressed by the futuristic dance troupe CyberAgent Legit and pressed the Golden Buzzer for them.
Those who make it through the audition stages will progress to the semi-finals and move a step closer to being crowned Britain's next superstar.
The winner of the series will take home the £250,000 cash prize and earn a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.
Britain's Got Talent airs on Saturday evenings on ITV1 and ITVX.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
