Jamie Lynn Spears' relationship with sister Britney
Jamie Lynn and Britny Spears have had an estranged relationship for many years, but that now appears to be on the mend.
Britney was always supportive of her younger sister growing up, according to Today, from attending her performances to calling for support when Jamie Lynn's daughter Maddie.
She even let her cover one of her songs - Oops! ... I Did It Again - as Jamie Lynn attempted to launch her own music career in 2013.
The sisters continued to have a good relationship, with Lynn Spears even defending Britney on several occasions while she suffered from mental health issues.
It wasn't until 2021 that their pair's relationship broke down, reports Today.
Lynn Spears posted a video on Instagram addressing her sister's conservatorship, saying: “Since the day I was born, I’ve only loved, adored and supported my sister.
"I mean this is my freaking big sister, before any of this bulls---.
"I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has done so many times before. Because I have nothing to gain or lose either way.”
Jamie Lynn Spears added: "Not that I owe the public anything, because my sister knows I love and support her... I’m not my family. I’m my own person. And I’m speaking for myself."
The following month she said she and her family received death threats from her sister's supporters.
Shortly after Britney, speaking about her conservatorship, said her "so-called support system hurt me deeply", referring to her sister.
Before in 2022 Britney stopped following Jamie Lynn on Instagram.
The sisters seemed to be on better terms in December 2022, said Today, when Britney posted a since-deleted caption on an Instagram praising her sister.
Fast forward to this year and Britney revealed she had visited Jamie Lynn while she was on set filming Zoey 102.

We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
