POLICE have closed part of a major A-road after the discovery of a body in a search for a missing man.

The A941 road near Lossiemouth is closed between the B9103 and the B9135 following the discovery of the body of a man at around 4.10pm on Sunday.

Formal identification is yet to take place however the family of missing person John Geddes is aware.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.

Geddes, 33, was last seen in the Coulardhill area around 10.30pm on Monday, November 11.

Specialist resources, including a helicopter and dogs, had been used in the search.
