HOLLYWOOD actor Shia LaBeouf has been filmed getting into an “altercation” with a group of men in the streets of Edinburgh.

It is unclear what caused the altercation between the 38-year-old American star and the group of men, but LaBeouf was filmed flipping his baseball cap off, raising his fists, and shouting “let’s go” in Cowgate, Edinburgh.

Passers-by intervened, trying to lead the actor away as the other person was also pulled away by what appeared to be a friend.

According to reports by the Scottish Sun a bar worker at Stramash, where the incident took place, said the Hollywood actor was “antagonised” by “jealous students”.

They told the newspaper: “The guy who was involved in it has been in touch. I told him to contact the police - one of the guys who got involved with him outside.

“He messaged on Facebook asking if he could get CCTV. We could only share it with the police.

“I watched the CCTV, he looked like he was having a great time. He was dancing about.

“To be honest the other four guys were antagonising him. They knew who he was and they were poking at him.

“The other guys were definitely antagonising him, trying to goad him into some sort of reaction.”

LaBeouf is in the capital city while his wife Mia Goth (below) films the new Frankenstein film which is directed by Guillermo del Toro and stars other big names like Christoph Waltz and Oscar Isaac.

The short 37-second clip showed LaBeouf angry at the group of men outside the OX184 bar earlier this week.

The source added: “He was dancing about having a good time and I think the other guys were trying to spin each other around, and dance with girls and I think they got a little bit jealous, wanting to get involved.

“A customer complained that the four students were antagonising him. They all got asked to leave. It was just words.

“He was having a great time. He was in by himself, dancing about having a good time. It was on Monday, the early hours of Tuesday morning.

“A couple of musicians said he was lovely - he was chatting away to them.”
