AN SNP MSP has joined a chorus of voices asking where Keir Starmer is as far-right riots erupt in numerous cities across England.

On Sunday, the violence continued as far-right rioters smashed the windows of a hotel in Rotherham housing asylum seekers and clashed with police.

The group eventually gained access to the building after throwing a flaming wheelie bin through a window.

The Prime Minister  denounced the violence earlier this week and promised a "robust response" from police.

However as the violence erupts and communities fear for their safety many have asked why he is yet to make a public appearance on Sunday.

SNP MSP Kevin Stewart asked on X/Twitter: "Where on earth is @Keir_Starmer?"

While fellow SNP MSP Elena Whitham echoed calls from former first minister Humza Yousaf for the army to be sent in to stop the riots, which he described as a "pogrom against Muslims and People of Colour".

She said: "Pogrom is absolutely the right word here. Where is our Prime Minister?!"
