AN LBC host who lost her job following a tense interview with an Israeli spokesperson has hit out at the station after it announced Suella Braverman would be filling in as a guest host.
Sangita Myska was removed from her presenting job back in May amid speculation that she had been sacked after holding an Israeli government spokesperson to account live on-air.
In April, Myska interviewed Avi Hyman and questioned him about Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria.
She pointed out that consulates are usually considered sovereign territories and asked whether Israel’s actions had escalated tensions in the Middle East after Iran launched its own strikes on Israel, which it described as retaliatory.

Hyman said it was an “outrageous framing” of the situation and claimed it wasn’t a consulate despite wide-ranging reports in the media describing it as such.
Following the interview Myska did not appear on her scheduled LBC weekend show, with bosses later confirming that she was departing the station.
A petition to reinstate her has since garnered more than 39,000 signatures yet Myska herself did not comment about the nature of her departure.
On Tuesday, LBC announced that former home secretary and Tory MP Suella Braverman would be filling in for regular host James O’Brien in a guest slot.
It comes after Braverman blamed the progress pride flag and the Tories being too left-wing for the party’s election defeat.
Myska then released a statement on social media, which appeared to criticise both Braverman and LBC for platforming her.
“Brown women with public profiles are a diverse group,” she said.
“We do not all revile the homeless, asylum seekers, Joan Salter, tofu, lawful protestors, centrists, the EU, international courts.
“Nor do we ‘dream’ of deportation flights to Rwanda, endorse the language of the far right, or hope to lead the Tory Party.
“Also, while I’m here…
“To my astonishing listeners and supporters, you have kept me afloat in deep and stormy seas.
“Sorry I’m unable to answer all of your questions.

“I am truly grateful for your care, friendship and encouragement. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
It comes amid speculation that Braverman is set to defect from the Conservatives to Reform UK after struggling to gain enough support to mount a leadership bid.
Despite sources in both parties confirming that the former home secretary is considering the move, Braverman herself has denied the reports.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
