NICOLA Sturgeon will feature in ITV’s election night coverage alongside former chancellor George Osborne, the broadcaster has announced.

The former first minister will also be joined by ex-shadow chancellor Ed Balls, who is now an ITV presenter as well as hosting a podcast with his former Tory opposite number.

Balls will present Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid. The programme will feature contributions from pundits Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire, Boris Johnson's former spin doctor Guto Harri, Labour veteran Harriet Harman, former chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng, newly ennobled Labour peer Ayesha Hazarika and Gordon Brown.
