A LUXURY hotel in Edinburgh has unveiled three summer terraces providing 360-degree views of Scotland’s capital.

The W Hotel Edinburgh located within St James Quarter officially opened the terraces on Saturday, June 1.

Visitors will be able to choose from the SUSHISAMBA terrace, the secluded Joao’s Place terrace, or the W Deck, which provides "unparalleled" views of numerous Edinburgh landmarks including Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill and Edinburgh Castle.

The terraces will be open seven days a week throughout the summer and feature an exclusive cocktail menu and live music.

From June 6 the W Deck will host a DJ every Thursday night between 5pm and 10pm.

During August guests will also be able to witness the nightly festival firework display from the terrace, with fire pits in place to keep them warm.

Joao’s Place, meanwhile, offers revellers a more secluded place to relax with a drink. The décor is inspired by the Liberdade neighbourhood of Sao Paolo, Brazil, which hosts a large population of Japanese immigrants.
