A 39-YEAR-OLD man has died and two women were rescued from the water after an incident at a Scottish beauty spot.

Emergency services raced to Dollar Glen around 10.30am on Saturday, April 12 after being made aware of three people in danger in the water.

All three were removed, although the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of concern for three people in the water in the Dollar Glen area near Dollar shortly after 10.30am on Saturday, April 13.

“Officers attended, along with a range of other emergency services. All three were removed from the water.

“A 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two women received treatment from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
