POPEYES has announced the opening date of its first restaurant in Aberdeen and has said it will be "pulling out all the stops to showcase its New Orleans hospitality".
Those across the Granite City will be invited to attend the opening with those early enough to arrive able to expect free giveaways of sandwiches and merchandise.
The brand has also teased a "larger-than-life surprise" on Aberdeen Beach (Thursday, April 11) and has encouraged residents to investigate it for themselves before posting a photo tagging @popeyesuk on Instagram for another chance to win a free Chicken Sandwich.
Discussing what newcomers can expect from their Popeyes dining experience, the fast food chain said: "Guests attending the opening day will get the first chance to experience Popeyes® world-famous New Orleans-inspired menu, including the iconic Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and original Southern biscuits and gravy.

"Popeyes will also be serving up a ‘Brekkie’ menu from Tuesday 16th April, featuring British Breakfast classics with a New Orleans twist, such as the Big Cajun breakfast roll, Cajun Hash Browns and indulgent Nutella-topped buttermilk biscuits.
"Breakfast will be available until 11am every day, and will even include a Bacon roll meal for just £1.99, comprising of the Bacon roll, a Hash Brown and a drink."
When and where will Popeyes open its first restaurant in Aberdeen?
The new Aberdeen restaurant will be opening on Monday, April 15 and be located at 111-115 Union Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6BH.
The location will seat up to 50 people and offer a takeaway option for those who want to enjoy the New Orleans-inspired menu from the comfort of their own homes.

What is Popeyes?
Popeyes was founded in 1972 and is one of the world's largest chicken quick-service restaurants.
It first launched in the UK in November 2021. This year, the brand will double the size of its current estate, with the addition of over 30 new UK restaurants, drive-throughs and delivery kitchens.
