LBC presenter Nick Ferrari has said that a senior Israel Defence Forces (IDF) member pulled out of an interview “seconds” before it was due to start.
It comes after food charity World Central Kitchen said that seven aid workers, including a British national, were killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza.
The IDF has said it is “carrying out an in-depth examination at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident”.

Speaking on his morning show, Ferrari said he had been due to speak with Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, a spokesperson for the IDF.
He said: “That interview has just been cancelled with seconds notice. As I say, take from that what you will but certainly there are questions to be answered, whether it’s the tragic death of these aid workers.
“And I will read that an investigation is apparently going underway now, a thorough review. It would have been nice to speak to someone about more of that wouldn’t it?

“Or indeed the shell that is the Al-Shifa hospital, it would have been informative to have been able to have a conversation with him about that as well.”
In a post on his own social media account, Lerner said the killing of the aid workers was a "tragedy".
Ferrari meanwhile added: “And goodness knows what we might see as a result of this supposed Israeli bombing of that consulate.”
The presenter was referencing the news that Iran has blamed Israel for a deadly air strike on its consulate in Syria, in which two senior military commanders were killed.
Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) elite Quds Force, died in the explosion, which destroyed the Iranian consulate building in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, a deputy commander in the Quds Force, was also killed, along with five other officers, according to the IRGC.
Israel has so far declined to comment on the incident.
