ANTI-SNP slogans have been painted on the base of a sculpture on the outskirts of Dunbar -for the second time.

The graffiti, which was highlighted on social media on Friday, was painted on the DunBear.

The phrases "SNP OUT" and "SNP = SCUM" feature.

Police previously launched an investigation in 2021 after “hang SNP”, “Covid lies” and “no vaccine” were spray painted on the artwork.

However, Police Scotland told the East Lothian Courier on Friday that it did not have anything on its system about the sculpture being vandalised recently.

The five-metre tall sculpture, created by the renowned Scottish sculptor Andy Scott - also known for the Kelpies-  has proven a popular attraction since it was unveiled beside the A1 in 2019.
