A MAJOR retailer has opened a massive new store near Glasgow, creating multiple jobs.

Toolstation, one of the country's main suppliers of tools and building supplies with over 550 stores, has unveiled its new shop in Coatbridge.

The move has created seven new roles for the local community and staff will be on hand to help customers by providing expert advice and reliable service.

Do-it-yourselfers, tradespeople and the like can get their hands on products from big brands such as Milwaukee, Makita, Wessex, Leyland and more. 

Store manager Daniel Cerretti said: “We are thrilled to have opened the new store in Coatbridge, helping support local tradespeople, DIYers and home builders with tools and more in the Lanarkshire region.

The Coatbridge store neighbours other Toolstation shops in Bellshill, Wishaw, East Kilbride and Parkhead.

It is located at 4 North Caldeen Road, Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, ML5 4EF and will be open seven days a week, 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm on Saturdays and 9am to 4pm on Sundays.
