PRO-PALESTINE demonstrators gathered in the streets of Edinburgh on Saturday while thousands also joined a rally in London.

The march was organised by the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign and started at Edinburgh Castle.

It comes after the Health Ministry in Gaza said on Saturday that 107 people were killed over the preceding 24-hour period, bringing the wartime total of 27,238 while more than 66,000 people have wounded.

More than half of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million has taken refuge in Rafah and surrounding areas.

A UN official on Friday said Rafah was becoming a “pressure cooker of despair”.

Meanwhile, in London, more than 10,000 pro-Palestine supporters marched in central London calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign said it was the “eighth national march held for the Palestinian people,” following the Hamas attacks on southern Israel on October 7.

Jeremy Corbyn and Mick Lynch were among those to address the rally.

Demonstrators carried banners which read “end the killing” that were accompanied by harrowing images of the bloodshed since the conflict first started.
