THE conservation-focused estates firm owned by Scotland’s richest man is offering The Traitors-like experiences at its Highland properties.
Ander Holch Povlsen’s family company Wildland – which manages his 220,000 acres of property across 3 estates in Scotland – is set to offer experiences similar to those seen in the hit BBC show across its range of castles, lodges and guest houses.
Amongst the properties available are Aldourie Castle on the shores of Loch Ness and Glenfeshie Lodge, which sits in one of Scotland’s most ambitious rewilding projects.
Wildland say they are offering activities such as clay pigeon shooting contests, wild swimming, or a day aboard the Wildland boat exploring hidden caves and private islands.
All guest bookings contribute towards funding Wildland’s 200-year vision for the landscape, which includes restoring ancient peatland and re-establishing native woodland lost to overgrazing by deer.
Rates start at £425 per night, including food and board.
It comes after Wildland reported a multi-million-pound loss in the year ending July 2023, with pre-tax losses amounting to £9.3 million.
Povlsen, who made his fortune through clothing chain Bestseller and fashion retailer Asos, is an ardent supporter of rewilding and is the Scotland’s largest landowner.
In 2024, work is due begin on £10.5 million care home and GP surgery in the Highland village of Tongue funded by Wildland.
They firm struck a deal NHS Highland and Highland Council, who will rent the building back from Wildland when it is completed.
