SAINSBURY'S has announced plans to open a new store in a retail park.

The supermarket giant will bring a new Sainsbury's Local shop to the retail centre, which is currently being developed on Eaglesham Road in Jackton in South Lanarkshire.

Sainsbury’s is the first tenant to sign up for the new development, where it hopes to become the first grocery store to serve customers from within the nearby village.

The new shop will be open between 7am and 11pm and will offer the brand's ranges from fresh bread and cakes to fruit and veg, meat, fish and more.
