RISHI Sunak’s flagship Rwanda deportation legislation survived a right-wing Conservative rebellion after would-be rebels announced they would not vote down an unchanged Bill.

The Prime Minister saw the Safety of Rwanda Bill pass its third reading in the House of Commons by a majority of 44 on Wednesday evening.

MPs voted 320 to 276, with only 11 Tories rebelling despite more than 60 earlier supporting an amendment designed to toughen the draft law.

The Bill will now transfer to the House of Lords, where it is expected to face serious opposition.

How did Scotland’s seven Tory MPs vote?

All seven of Scotland’s Tory MPs voted to back the Rwanda bill. These included Alister Jack, John Lamont, and Andrew Bowie.

David Duguid, David Mundell and Lisa Cameron also backed the migration bill.

Douglas Ross (above), the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, also voted in line with the UK Government.

The division list showed only 11 Conservative MPs rebelled.

They were: Suella Braverman (Fareham), William Cash (Stone), Miriam Cates (Penistone and Stocksbridge), Simon Clarke (Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland), Sarah Dines (Derbyshire Dales), James Duddridge (Rochford and Southend East), Mark Francois (Rayleigh and Wickford), Andrea Jenkyns (Morley and Outwood), Robert Jenrick (Newark), David Jones (Clwyd West), Danny Kruger (Devizes).
