THE Alba Party have outlined plans to ask the Scottish public whether Holyrood should have powers to legislate and negotiate independence.

Within the proposals put forward by MSP Ash Regan, Scots would be polled on whether or not to extend Holyrood’s powers.

As things stand, the Scottish Government must be granted a Section 30 order by the UK Government in order to hold a referendum - as happpened in 2014.

Alba have proposed that the ballot should be undertaken on the 10th anniversary of the previous vote held in September 2024.

You can now have a vote in our poll and have your say on whether you agree with Alba's plans.

The poll cannot be taken as statistically representative.

The poll will run until 3pm on Friday, December 1.
