OUTLANDER star Sam Heughan has announced a new release date for his upcoming film Love Again.

The Scottish actor is set to star alongside Priyanka Chopra and Celine Dion in the upcoming romantic comedy - which is now set to premiere on May 12.

Heughan took to Twitter to make the announcement.

He wrote: "It’s a date!! I’m starring alongside the beautiful @priyankachopra and the brilliant @celinedion in the romantic comedy #LoveAgainMovie, coming exclusively to movie theaters May 12…
featuring new music from Celine Dion!?!? @SonyPictures"

The film is set to follow Chopra's character Mira Ray, who is struggling to cope with the loss of her fiance.

In a bid to find catharsis, Ray sends text messages to her late fiance's old phone number, which now belongs to Sam Heughan’s character Rob Burns.

Entranced by the messages and looking to find their sender, Heughan’s character eventually enlists the help of Celine Dion, playing herself, to track down Ray and win her over.

The film will offer a major new role for Heughan who has become best known for playing Jamie Fraser in the Scottish hit series Outlander.
