OUTLANDER leading man Sam Heughan is due to touch down in Glasgow next month along with other members of the cast.
The actor – who plays Jamie Fraser in the hit Starz show – is booked to appear at a convention for Outlander fans in Scotland’s largest city.
Heughan leads a line-up at the Starfury Highlanders convention which includes fellow Outlander star Richard Rankin, who plays Roger Wakefield MacKenzie in the show.
Sophie Skelton, Duncan Lacroix, Alexander Vlahos, and Star Wars actor Mark Lewis Jones – who joined the Outlander cast in season six – will also be at the conference.

The event, which will be held at the Hilton Hotel on Glasgow’s William Street, is due to feature guest talks, photo and autograph sessions, competitions, parties, “and much more”, according to its website.
A regular ticket costs £130 and gives fans access to all of the above, but a £205 gold ticket also grants access to a meet and greet on Friday evening, as well as priority seating at Q&A sessions and a free autograph from a “bonus guest”.
Heughan and Rankin are both listed as upper tier “bonus guests”, although Heughan is only booked in to appear on the Saturday of the three-day event, which starts on July 1.
The Outlander star wrote on Instagram: “Looking forward to seeing everyone and partying like a Highlander this July!
“We’ve got a great line up for Highlanders 5. Here’s hoping the other guests behave…”

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
