A music and arts festival is set to take place in the east of Scotland in June and July.

The East Neuk Festival will take place all over North-East Fife featuring family, outdoor and free events from June 30th to July 3rd.

Musicians from a wide array of countries including Kenya, Syria and Australia will come to join Scottish players at the festival for a "truly international celebration of music and life".

Local venues include the likes of churches in Anstruther, Cellardyke, Crail and Kilrenny, alongside the Bowhouse farm in St. Monans.

Cambo Gardens will also feature in the festival holding a sunset event, offering a rare opportunity to visit the gardens in the evening. The event will be accompanied by live music and illuminated performances by Gandini Juggling.

Meanwhile, East Neuk Festival installation Burn will trace the stream that runs through Cambo with firelights that will burn brighter as the sun sets.

National Trust Scotland is collaborating with the festival once again to bring a labyrinth shaping the map of the East Neuk in Kellie Castle’s meadow. Designed by Festival director Svend McEwan-Brown, it is being recreated this year with intriguing additions of distinctive East Neuk landmarks created by local artists located in the right place on the ‘map’.

There will also be a special vintage Citroen van travelling through the East Neuk for the duration of the festival, dropping off street musicians at every stop for pop-up concerts. The ever-popular Tullis Russell Works Band will play wherever there is a crowd.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “The East Neuk Festival is a celebration of music – not only in its purest form, in performance, but also the ways in which it enhances other aspects of life and the arts, whether it’s dance, film, literature, nature, or wandering through a beautiful garden at sunset. In addition to the ticketed concerts, ENF offers a wide-reaching programme of free and family events, both indoors and out, that will appeal to audiences and visitors of all ages.”
