A SCOTTISH TikTok star will be packing up his kilt and apron after securing a major publishing deal to release his cookbook in the US.
Coinneach MacLeod, also known as the Hebridean Baker, has signed a deal with American publishers Sourcebooks to release his debut cookbook in America and Canada.
To celebrate its release on May 3, MacLeod will be travelling across the Atlantic for a countrywide media and book.

The Scot rose to fame on the video-sharing app TikTok during the 2020 Covid lockdown, posting traditional Hebridean recipes as well as twists on classics – all alongside his trustee companion terrier Seoras.
Since then his videos have been viewed more than 16 million times, having accrued a large American audience.

MacLeod encourages his audience to cook Scots baking recipes and learn Gaelic and his videos have led to some visiting Scottish islands.
He said: “I cannot wait to share my recipes and wee stories from the Scottish islands across America. Over 20 million Americans have Scottish heritage and I hope to meet as many of them as possible on the tour.”

The Hebridean’s Baker’s American schedule will include television and radio appearances, as well as a book signing tour with America’s largest bookstore Barnes & Noble.
MacLeod also announced that his American fans will choose which cities he will visit.
From February 24 to March 6, they will be able to vote to bring the book tour to their home town.
The top six voted cities will then be added to the May tour.

The Isle of Lewis star said: “It’s so exciting that I could be visiting anywhere from Dallas to New York – but I do have a secret hope that Nashville gets enough votes to be selected, as I’d love a trip to Dollywood.”
Head of marketing at sourcebook, Liz Kelsch said: “We are delighted to be bringing the Hebridean Baker to the US.
"We know America is going to fall in love with him, his recipes and that beautiful Hebridean accent.”
