SCOTTISH golfer Robert MacIntyre has shown off the beautiful scenery of his home town in a new video about receiving his official invite for next year’s Masters.
The tongue-in-cheek short film shows the Oban local chasing after the town’s postman to get his letter from Augusta National, where the prestigious tournament is hosted.
MacIntyre qualified for the 2022 event following a heroic debut performance at this year’s tournament.
The Scot made waves on the international stage with an impressive top-12 finish, guaranteeing him a spot next year.
His new video, which he shared on Twitter, features some Scottish delicacies, a Proclaimers soundtrack and plenty of stunning shots of Oban.
MacIntyre said the film was “a wee bit of fun”, adding he “can’t wait” for the Masters.

The Scot followed up his impressive showing at the 2021 Masters by finishing as the top British golfer at The 149th Open Championship.
A final-round 67 at Royal St George’s lifted him to seven under and joint-eighth.
The 2022 Masters begins on April 7 and concludes on April 10.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
