SNP MP Marion Fellows’s choice of wall art is likely to provide some inspiration to independence supporters.

It seems home working provides MPs with an opportunity for some subtle digs at the UK Government.

While putting her questions to the Leader of the House virtually this morning, eagle-eyed Commons viewers spotted her “bang head here” poster positioned just to the left of her head.

The Motherwell and Wishaw representative’s wall hanging sums up how Scots feel about being part of the UK, if the latest polling is anything to go by.

A new Savanta ComRes survey, carried out for The Scotsman, shows 58% of Scots want to leave the Union – and 40% want a referendum in the next two years.

It is the 17th consecutive poll to show support for independence ahead of support for the Union, and also puts the SNP on track to gain a decisive majority at May’s Scottish Parliament election.

But this morning in the UK Parliament, Tory MPs told SNP representatives to stop relying on opinion polling and look at the facts, claiming they’ll take seats from Nicola Sturgeon’s party next year.

What was that about facts?! The poll shows the Tories are going to lose eight seats …

With this kind of chat no wonder Fellows, her colleagues, and all of us feel like we’re banging our heads against the wall while stuck in this Union.
