THE number of coronavirus deaths in Scotland has risen by nine to 2362.

As of 2pm on Sunday, 114,322 people in Scotland have been tested for Covid-19, with 98,922 confirmed negative and 15,400 positive.

New figures showed there were 1209 excess deaths from non-coronavirus conditions between March 16 – the week the first death from the virus was recorded in Scotland – and May 10, compared with the average number for this period over the past five years.
