Scotland were last night dealt a massive blow ahead of their Nations League match against Ukraine in Poland this evening when Scott McKenna and Kieran Tierney were both ruled out.
The national team need to draw or win their final Group B1 game in Krakow to top their section and secure a Euro 2024 play-off spot as well as promotion to the A League.
However, Nottingham Forest centre half McKenna and Arsenal left back Tierney, who started in the 2-1 triumph over the Republic of Ireland at Hampden on Saturday, have both had to withdraw.

McKenna has a knee strain while SFA medical staff have said that Tierney, who suffered a head knock just before half-time at the weekend, can not play because of concussion protocols.
Scott McTominay, the Manchester United midfielder who had featured against both Ukraine and Ireland, had already been ruled out of the game after picking up a second booking and a suspension.
Stephen Kinglsey and Barrie McKay of Hearts have been drafted in as cover.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
