ANGE POSTECOGLOU'S honeymoon period at Celtic is officially OVER, according to Kris Commons.
The ex-Hoops ace reckons any period of bedding in for the new boss is now behind him after the "inexcusable" loss against Livingston.
Postecoglou watched his side slump to a third defeat of the Scottish Premiership season as Andrew Shinnie netted the only goal in West Lothian.
And for Commons the loss was completely unacceptable and Postecoglou is now under major scrutiny going forward.
"Yesterday's defeat at Livingston was a damaging affair for the new Celtic manager, wiping out a lot of the goodwill afforded to him by the fans", Commons wrote in his Daily Mail column.
"It brought to an end any sense of a honeymoon period. That's all over and Postecoglou is now firmly under the microscope.
"Why? Because, for any Celtic manager, failure to beat the team who were bottom of the table at the start of play is totally inexcusable. Plain and simple."
Celtic were without Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi for the Premiership clash.
And the loss makes it fives matches on the bounce at the Tony Macaroni without a win for Celtic over Livingston.
For Commons it's just the latest in an "unsustainable" set of results for Celtic as they sit in sixth on nine points after their opening six matches.
He added: "Even accounting for one or two players being absent or rotated, a massive club like Celtic should still have more than enough in reserve to get the job done at Livingston.
"Listen, we're not talking about the San Siro or the Bernabeu. Nor are we talking about the bear pits of Ibrox and Tynecastle.
"We're talking about the Tony Macaroni - a venue which saw Celtic fans pack three sides of the stadium.
"Celtic fundamentally weren't good enough on the day and the concern for supporters is the fact that it's far from just a one-off.
"Celtic have now played six matches in the Premiership this season and lost 50 per cent of them.
"That's totally unsustainable and Postecoglou will know it."
