AFTER waiting 23 years to cheer on the men’s team at an international tournament, Scotland fans had some making up to do.

And it’s fair to say the Tartan Army have been enjoying the party so far at Euro 2020.

Having been drawn to play England at Wembley, the chance to take the party down to London was too good a chance to refuse for thousands of supporters.

And boy did they have fun after setting up camp in Leicester Square.

Even the torrential rain couldn’t put them off.

Many even stuck behind the morning after to help with the clean up-operation.

Of all the videos from Friday night, one in particular has caused a sensation on social media.

Massing in the English capital to cheer on their team, Scotland fans took every opportunity to big up their nation.

Naturally, that meant chanting at a statue of William Shakespeare that he’s merely a “s**** Rabbie Burns”.

The statue was suitably serenaded by supporters, jubilant after their team's heroic efforts at Wembley.

Not everyone was impressed, however.

One Twitter user wrote: "Singing a song to a statue ...Think it's time to go to bed boys. It's no that funny."

They were quickly shut down by Professor James Loxley, who replied: "I’m a scholar of English Renaissance literature and I say it’s hilarious."

There’s no set of fans quite like ours.
