Boban Jacdonmi insists Glasgow Rocks are out to prove they’re box office gold when they go primetime on Sky Sports tonight.

Gareth Murray’s men visit Worcester Wolves in a high-stakes battle of the BBL’s bottom two.

But Jacdomni insists he’s relaxed about going under the spotlight after facing the cameras regularly during four seasons in American college basketball.

The centre, 24, said: “Coming from the USA, being on TV isn’t really that new to me. Once I get on the court, it’s game time. We just need to think about winning the game. We can’t dwell on it being on Sky. But we can use it as a way to broadcast ourselves to the country.

“We’re young. We’re considered one of the weaker teams in this league. So let’s show we’re really a powerhouse and that we can run with the best of them.”

Murray is counting on clearance for American big Ron Delph to arrive for the Wolves clash which is part of a Sky double-header with Cheshire-Manchester.

However, following a slow start, Jacdonmi has given increasing glimpses into his immense potential with the young Londoner ever more adapt at making his presence known on his return to British hoops.

“Transitioning from college to being a professional was definitely tougher than expected,” he said. “But as the games have come along, I’ve felt like I’ve gained more confidence.

“We’ve almost played every team in the league so I’m learning what to expect. As we continue, I’m getting more knowledgeable. And playing under Gareth is great for picking his brain and learning things in practice. He’s been good with constructive criticism and that’s made me more comfortable with each week.

“Because every game you meet someone with a new skillset, or talent, or view of the game. As a rookie pro, I need to realise how to go up against each person. Knowing their strengths and my weaknesses, I need to analyse things more.”

Elsewhere, joint leaders London and Newcastle square off at the Copper Box.
