Peter Alliss, known as the Voice of Golf, has died at the age of 89.

Although known for some controversial comments when commentating, he also brought to fans of the sport some of the most iconic moments. 

We take a look at some of the famous lines from the Voice of Golf on the day that it was announced he had sadly passed away.

On the game of golf itself
