STEVEN Gerrard last night revealed that Rangers striker Kemar Roofe could be sidelined until after the international break next month.

Roofe, a £4.5m signing from Anderlecht last month, was substituted in the Europa League match against Lincoln Red Imps in Gibraltar last week after suffering a calf injury.

The 27-year-old, who has scored two goals in six appearances in the 2020/21 campaign, looks set to miss Premiership matches against Motherwell and Ross County.

“Kemar will be missing probably until after international duty,” said Gerrard. “He has an outside chance before that but we will have to make that decision closer to the Ross County game.”
