RANGERS are close to striking a deal with Anderlecht attacker Kemar Roofe, according to reports.

The Englishman switched to Belgium from Leeds United last summer for a fee of £7million.

At the time Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard was keen to bring him to Glasgow but a contract could not be agreed.

But now reports in Belgium suggest that a move is "imminent" with a multi-million pound deal on the table.

Roofe, 27, scored six goals in the First Division last season in 13 appearances and his deal expires in 2022.

Any potential switch would, of course, depend on Alfredo Morelos' future.

Reports have suggested that French side Lille have agreed personal terms with the Colombian.
