CELTIC manager Neil Lennon has revealed the row over Kris Boyd's comments about Leigh Griffiths is finished - after speaking to the former Rangers striker.

Boyd sparked a storm of controversy when he questioned Griffiths's mental strength while he was working as a pundit for Sky Sports during a Ladbrokes Premiership game at Rugby Park last week.

Griffiths spent six months out of the game last season to deal with personal issues and the Parkhead club wrote a letter of complaint to Sky about Boyd's controversial remarks.

However, Lennon revealed he had held discussions with the former Kilmarnock player on Monday night as well as his own striker about the furore and was content the episode is now in the past.

"I spoke to Kris last night, and I’ve spoken with Leigh," he said. "Everyone’s happy to draw a line under it and just move on now."
