STEVEN PRESSLEY is considering opportunities from as far afield as Africa as he seeks a route back into football.

Pressley has been out of the game since being fired from his job as Carlisle manager in November, and is looking for the right role as he pnders his future.

“I don’t know what I want to do at the moment,” he said.

“In football you can get pigeon-holed as a manager, but I’m open to exploring other options too. I just love being out on the grass and working with players.

“I’ve had some interesting offers. I actually had a couple of enquiries out the blue to see if I would be interested in coming over to Africa to manage national teams, and both of those sides have really good players.

“That might be an interesting option, or perhaps even going into the right role to work with younger players, providing there was a clear path into the first team.

“A job like I did at Falkirk or Coventry, and that I was trying to do at Carlisle, would also be intriguing too.”
