DOMINIC Cummings knew his wife had Covid-19 symptoms and suspected he could develop the same symptoms so the rules are clear: self-isolate in the primary place of residence, which was their house in London. No, he and his immediate family travel 264 miles north to their parents’ property, clearly breaking the legal rules.
We have all followed the rules religiously to help save lives to the point where people have not been allowed to attend funerals of family members and friends where numbers are limited. It seems that the Conservative Westminster establishment are trying to protect Cummings at all costs, with legal rules only applying to the rest of us.

I am writing to say as a citizen that he has to resign for breaking the legal rules, as if he does not it undermines the whole lockdown process to suppress Covid-19 and could be seen to be an insult to the families who have lost their loved ones.

IT is absolutely obvious that Dominic Cummings has some incredible hold over Johnson!
The moronic, braying, bullying Tory backbenchers shall be in parliament on June 2 to prop up their failing, pathetic leader!
How has it come to this, England? You have so much to answer for! Our time is coming!

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
