IT does not surprise me that Douglas Alexander cites ancestral achievement as authority for his petulant opinion (Unionists furious hospital will be named after Scot, April 3). His ancestors are dead and gone but he relies on them to bolster his opinion of himself as a person of import. Obviously a wasted education.

All the hoo-ha about the name is the expression of the petty opinions of the petty-minded who, having nothing constructive to contribute, still feel the need to draw attention to themselves in case we forget who they are.

Too late, Dougie, I forgot about you years ago.

Personally, I hope the field hospital is remembered as that place they had at the SEC which was never used.
