FURTHER to Labour auld guy and unelected drain on the public purse George Foulkes taking to Twitter and stating that the SNP has hijacked Holyrood, I really think Mr Foulkes needs to get out of the Lords and London, take a trip to Arbroath on April 4 and experience the next AUOB march for Independence (Labour peer says Holyrood has been hijacked, January 16).

He can then see for himself the wide and varied cross-section of citizens that make up the Yes movement, from all different walks of life and political leanings.

These tens of thousands of marchers all believe that Scotland can do better making its own decisions in the world, and have supported the SNP as the vehicle most likely to win their independent parliament.

The SNP won the majorities at elections. Holyrood has not been hijacked, it’s just Labour that’s not been looking, listening or paying attention to the Scottish people ... for years!

George, if you do not feel like joining in the march with us, I am sure there will be plenty room for you beside the few Union Jack-waving Unionists, who I am sure will make you feel at home, and you will get a great view of the scale of your problem walking past.

See you in Arbroath.
