It has been yet another week of U-turns from Labour â two in one days, in fact.
First, it looks like head honcho Keir Starmer is set to weaken Labour's package of workersâ rights in the coming weeks.
A long list of employment policies including ending employersâ use of âfire and rehireâ and higher sick pay were due to be included in Labourâs manifesto as part of its âNew Deal for Working Peopleâ.
But shadow ministers are reportedly looking to abandon Labourâs long history of backing workers and instead giving in to business pressure by holding talks on how to water down some of these pledges.
The leader of the Scottish Trade Union Congress Roz Foyer previously warned Starmer that he âmust not U-turnâ on the New Deal for Working People as she insisted trade unionists would âkeep the pressure onâ.
But this looks to be another in a long line of Labour U-turns.
It then took just a few hours before another one reared its head.
MSPs backed the Scottish Government in a call for âcompensation in fullâ to be paid to women impacted by state pension inequality on Wednesday evening.
However, Scottish Labour chose to abstain on the motion â instead pushing an amendment calling for "clarity" on a compensation scheme, which ultimately failed.
It comes after The National exclusively reported in March that exactly this could happen, with the UK Labour Party reportedly instructing their Scottish counterparts in Scotland not to commit the compensation scheme and simply suggest they will âconsider the reportâ.
