A BORDERS nursery school has received a largely positive report from the Care Inspectorate.

Chirnside Primary School Nursery is registered to provide a service to a maximum of 61 children.

An inspector from the Care Inspectorate paid an unannounced visit to the facility on January 29.

It was deemed that children benefit from “warm and responsive relationships” with caring staff.

Children also benefited from good access to the outdoors, which supported their overall health and well-being.

The nursery was rated ‘good’ across four categories, including its leadership and the quality of its care, play and learning.

The report did highlight the need for more effective auditing and monitoring systems.
