House prices in Powys have gone down by an average of over £1,000 in the month of July, according to figures from the Land Registry.

The latest data from the government department reveals that in July 2022 average house prices in Powys reached £239,700.

This was down from £240,950 in June, representing a 0.5 per cent decrease. In the last 12 months it has risen by 11.0 per cent.

  • Semi-detached houses - Down to £212,485 from £213,395 in June
  • Terraced houses - Down to £165,725 from £166,504 in June
  • Flats - Down to £97,020 from £97,675 in June

How do Powys house prices compare to the UK average?

The fall in prices this month means Powys is still  below the UK average with typical property value in the nations reaching £292,118 in July.

In cash terms, the average house price in July was £39,157 higher than a year earlier with house price growth accelerating to 15.5 per cent in July 2022.  Prices were up by 2.0 per cent month on month.
