OUR interactive map shows where the latest daily Covid cases have been recorded by local authority area.

Every day Public Health Scotland confirms the total number of positive cases from each region. The map display goes from red (for the lowest number of cases) through white to black (for the highest).

Figures released on Friday showed Scotland had recorded 28 further deaths linked to Covid-19 in 24 hours.

This brought the total under this measure - of people who died within 28 days of testing positive - to 11,924.

The latest data also showed that 3093 new cases of the coronavirus had been identified in Scotland. Of these, 13.1% were reinfections.

The figures also show that, on Thursday, there were 1702 people in hospital with recently confirmed Covid-19.

There were 29 people in intensive care with the disease, with four of those having been there for longer than 28 days.
